We’re Kevin and Allison Shorter, founders of The Shorter Journey, a ministry devoted to spiritual direction, prayer, and helping believers walk in deeper intimacy with God. After almost three decades of serving in ministry in the US and abroad, leading teams, interceding for nations, and walking with individuals through powerful encounters with the Holy Spirit, we felt God inviting us to create an online place to help more people. Our Father has wonderful thoughts and intentions about you, but many people lose sight of His love and direction as the needs and worries of life happen.
We believe that God is always speaking, always leading, and always drawing people into greater freedom and purpose. Our role is simple:

Allison Shorter
Allison is a seasoned ministry leader, intercessor, mentor and author who has spent three decades helping people hear God clearly, walk in emotional and spiritual wholeness, and step confidently into their God-given purpose.
After many years of discipling women, leading mission teams, and mentoring leaders, Allison founded The Shorter Journey as a space for believers to slow down, get clarity, and experience the transformational work of the Holy Spirit in a guided and safe environment.
Warm, direct, and Spirit-led, Allison blends prayer, discernment, Biblical wisdom, and practical guidance to help individuals move forward with peace, vision, and confidence.
Whether someone is discerning their next season, seeking healing from a previous one, or longing to deepen their walk with God, Allison brings a shepherding heart and clarity of perspective. She can help you make the journey shorter by not walking it alone.
Kevin Shorter
Kevin has spent many years helping men see that God is for them and that their story is not over. He carries a gentle confidence that no one is too broken for God to restore. Men in his groups feel heard, understood, and lifted out of discouragement so they can believe again that God has a good plan for their life.
He teaches in a simple and inviting way that makes it easy for people to hear God for themselves. Kevin loves giving people tools that help them move forward when they feel stuck. His steady encouragement helps people regain hope and discover that God is speaking to them with more clarity and kindness than they knew.
Kevin leads with a warm mix of prayer, insight, and practical steps. He cares deeply about creating a safe space where people can grow and find their footing again. His goal is for every person to walk away knowing there is a real path forward and that God will meet them in it.
